Hi, I'm Vinnie Vince Vizutto. I'm the new relationship advisor for ieBuzz.com. I was asked to do a food review. So here it is. Just so you alls know I'm from New York City and Italian. So naturally I sought out an Italian restaurant.
I went to a few places and walked in and walked out. I luckily finally came across a place called The Mug. I hear it's been around for 62 years. Well when I came into the place it looked like it and that was the first thing I loved about this place.
Tony Trozero the owner has got charisma and charm to spare. This guy comes to the table and chats you up. I felt like I was in his dining room and he made me and my guest feel at home. He's got great stories he tells. When he leaves the table you feel a little sad and can't wait till he comes back.
Now they make their own sauce so it taste fresh just like the handmade ravioli's. The ravioli maker walked in and I wanted to give her a hug. She looked just like my Nonna (grandmother). Now I didn't hug her out of respect for my grandmother who is very jealous. Boy was that fresh gravey (sauce) and ravioli delicious. I gotta tell you I felt guilty eating it but I'm Catholic so I can deal with it. Sorry Nonna.
I found out they age their steaks. Bada boom bada bing this place has got it going on. I don't know of another place in the IE that does that. If you're a serious steak eater you know how great a thing this is. I took a bite, fuhgettaboutit. Now understand me I'm not saying "forget about it." I'm sayin "fuhgettaboutit," which would be the equivalant in this case to "awesome."
I can't remember the name of the waitress, but thanks, you were a sweetheart. Oh and Jeremy the grandson of Tony is a good guy or should I say a good fella. He's gonna inherit the place and I know he's going to do the right thing which means don't change a thing.
Wait a minute I gotta mention the pie. I'm talking pizza here. I'm from New York so I knows a good pie if you know what I mean. They bring out this pie that's got sausage the size of meat balls. This is a meat lovers delight. I swear I thought I was back in Little Italy.
I give this place five freakin stars. Now go eat there and have some Italian food the way it was meant to be.
